About Us

Telangana Kala Jagruthi is a cultural organization established in the year 2010 with a strong commitment to preserve, promote, and propagate the rich cultural heritage of Telangana and Telugu traditions. The organization works tirelessly to encourage Telangana folk songs, folk arts, traditional music, singing, and classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.

Founded by Sri Padma Venkatesham, Telangana Kala Jagruthi was born out of a deep passion for art and culture, with a vision to create a platform where traditional artists can showcase their talent and future generations can stay connected to their roots.

Over the years, Telangana Kala Jagruthi has successfully organized and participated in more than 200 stage performances across prestigious cultural venues including Ravindra Bharathi, Birla Auditorium, Tyagaraja Gana Sabha, Hari Hara Kala Mandir Bhavan, Srisailam, Tirupati, and several other renowned platforms. These performances have played a significant role in spreading awareness and appreciation of Telangana’s vibrant cultural identity.

Telangana Kala Jagruthi is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with registration number 402/2019. As a non-profit organization, it actively supports cultural artists, conducts cultural programs, workshops, and events, and works towards nurturing young talent in traditional arts.

With a firm belief that culture is the soul of society, Telangana Kala Jagruthi continues its journey to protect traditional art forms, empower artists, and keep the spirit of Telangana culture alive for generations to come.

Mission

To create a strong platform for artists to showcase Telangana folk songs, traditional music, singing, and classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, while nurturing young talent and spreading cultural awareness through performances, training programs, and community engagement.

Objectives

  • To promote Telangana folk songs and folk arts at local, state, national, and international levels.

  • To preserve and encourage Telugu traditional dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.

  • To organize cultural programs, stage shows, festivals, and workshops across various platforms.

  • To identify, train, and support young and upcoming artists from rural and urban areas.

  • To create awareness about the importance of traditional arts and cultural heritage among youth.

  • To provide opportunities for artists to perform at prestigious cultural venues and public platforms.

  • To collaborate with government bodies, cultural organizations, and educational institutions for cultural development.

  • To document and preserve traditional art forms for future generations.
